About Jamboree Contigents
Sudan
The small Sudan Scout contingent to Marathon Jamboree was made up of two Commissioners and a full patrol of eight Scouts - the Rhino patrol. The contingent landed in Athens four days before the start of the Jamboree. While in Athens or in camp, our boys invited the attention of all with their grinning faces. Turbans, understandable English and Scout live spirit. They were so busy all the time, that they were hardly all in their cam site any time. They took successful part in almost all the activities in the Jamboree.

The contacts our Scouts made and friendship they started during their few days in Marathon is strengthening and developing through the numberless letters flowing in and out of the Sudan. That is scouting – that is world man’s wide brotherhood.
